ADENOSINE STRESS TEST
A small IV will be placed in your arm to administer a radioisotope (Myoview). Following the injection, there will be a waiting period of approximately 30 minutes. During that time you will be asked to drink 1-2 glasses of water. A scan will then be taken and it will last about 15-20 minutes.
After the initial set of scans, you will be given Adenosine and another small dose of a radionuclide will be injected. A second set of scans will be preformed 1 hour after the stress test. During your waiting time, you will be asked to drink 2 glasses of water.
Please allow 3-4 hours for the entire test to be completed.
